Breast Cancer & Household Cleaning Products

In 1940, 1 in 22 women was diagnosed with breast cancer.  In 2008, 1 in 8 women had the disease.   Only 5% to 10% of breast cancer cases come from heredity factors.  Most women who get breast cancer have no family history of the disease.

Medical science wants to know what is driving this dramatic rise in the incidence of this dread disease and are now looking much harder at chemicals within the home.

It is a fact that there is more breast cancer in industrialized areas than in rural areas.  In the United States the incidence of breast cancer is highest in the heavily industrialized northeast.  It is reasoned that as chemical toxins build up in the body over decades one of the results is the huge increase in breast cancer.

Certainly, it has been established that women exposed to higher than normal levels of estrogen in the form of xenoestrogens from toxins have a higher incidence of breast cancer.  Now it is feared that many ordinary household chemicals, cosmetics, shampoos and even food packaging are playing a role in this increase.

What might be a good defense?  We are big believers in daily cellular cleansing to fight the ravages of all forms of toxins.  We have suggested this before in previous blogs on this site.  It cannot hurt and may well help.  You will definitely feel better.
